Valette's Walk
An independent tour revisiting Manchester, back a century ago when thriving and industrial, and when the French painter Adolphe Valette depicted distinctive and atmospheric views of the streets. We can see them and let ourselves imagine... hearing the matt sound on the cobbles, could you nearly able to smell it!? perhaps best not. How does the Manchester then compares with today? Not only the story of a painter but an opportunity to look at the character of a city shaped from its people...

Program
1:50pm Meet in front the blue plaque in front the old Manchester School of Art 10mn before the tour starts.
2pm The tour starts to last an hour and half walking down Oxford Rd to Albert Square.
3:30pm ending at Manchester Art Gallery, Mosley Street with an open discussion about Manchester and the painter.
